I been forcing paperwhites for going on 10 years, and every time they begin to bloom, I still get excited. I've even got Alli joining me in the tradition, and was she ever pleased when her bulb finally opened last week. They grow quickly enough that kids (and impatient adults) find them rather fulfilling.
