I know it's not exactly a re-do, but we've been trying to figure how to cover up these ugly (and high quality) speakers for weeks. A fabric cover was the easiest solution since I sew, and they can be removed quickly. If you want to make something similar, keep in mind your seam allowance, and make sure your seams are straight.
