feet and what i'm up to

I haven't been posting much lately because I've been working on multiples of the same few items and they have not yet been formally announced so I can't even show you. What I will say though is that I'm working with this new company on a line of textiles and they are going to be amazing. Please go check out Modern Playhouse, I think you will love what they make. All the products are made in an environmentally conscious way. This means organic fabrics, sustainably harvested wood and non toxic finishes. It's really something I care deeply about so I'm thrilled to be part of making it happen.
Instead I'll show a little pair of feet. Remember back when I was working on a series? I had some of those printed very large and framed for the girls as a birthday gift.  They have grown a bit and I think I'll continue to take images as they get bigger and bigger.

footsies

I'm not one of those people with a fear of feet. If you are, you might not find these as interesting as I do. Chasing after the girls feet today was fun, and inspired by the pile of socks and shoes that Em left on the bench.

a proper vacation

I get time off over the summer. Not quite like a teacher does, but I am lucky enough to have a few weeks plus some long weekends without the kids. Mostly I spend the time on ciuccio and catching up on errands and housework, so while it is so nice to sleep in and I'm lucky, really I am, I don't always come back to work feeling like I really got away. This year marks the fifth year I've been taking care of the girls, and their parents got me a really extravagant gift. My wife and I got a weekend in a Bed and Breakfast up near Guerneville which includes a picnic basket full of delicious foods and a dinner in a gourmet vegetarian restaurant. My plans include finishing that book I started in the beginning of July, napping at least once and finding boredom. I am really looking forward to it.
